My very last day at Milford... 🥲

The very last.

The last 7 weeks of volunteering comes to a close. From making new friends that I never expected to be close with, to hearing stories from patients, this experience is one I will never forget. This blog is solely based on my relfections from my time at Milford Regional Medical Center.

When I first walked in the building, I did not expect much. Orientation was okay, but my first shifts were awesome. I immediately became close friends with Jason and Debby; their kindness is something I'll always remember. I communicated with patients, hearing exciting stories of their past. But CT scanning wasn't all about escorting patients and scanning paperwork; developing valuable relationships was key to bond the techinicians and I had at the hospital. I met more amiable people like Sharleen and couple nurses, expanding my social circle and getting know about them. I noticed the determination and resilient attiude on all the techinicians, I was shocked to see how everyone did their best and never slacked out on anything. Also, I chatted with couple other volunteers as well as my boss. Today, I type these words and reflect on every Tuesday I went to this place. I spoke my last goodbyes to the nurses I met earlier and gave Sharleen a hug. Jason shook my hand, and Debby was tearing up. It was really hard to let go of the ones who treated me like no other. But all journeys come to the close, and this chapter has now come to an end. To all who were along with me on this journey, I say thank you.

I'm lowkey little bit emotional when I'm writing this.

Milford, from the bottom my heart, thank you. I will never forget this.
