Sunday School Blog #2

One of the better days for worship!

This worship session was much more enjoyable with the team members back from vacation! We sang songs like Build My Life, Firm Foundation, and House of the Lord. Four out of the twenty kids sang passionately, but that was all I needed to praise Jesus together. The higher-end grade kids like the 5th graders did not budge, but many of the younger ones began to open up and sing. God was working in this room.

One noticeable difference I found this Sunday from the previous was the shoes the kids wore. Last week I promised to give a gift to whoever wore the best and flashy-looking Crocs. The kids did not disappoint. Three put pipe-cleaners and googly-eyes on their black crocs; another wore Minion-themed ones. A couple of others wore theirs with elaborate decorations. Though the shoes looked goofy, this was one of the ways I could socialize with these kids. They didn't have that bored look anymore. We swiftly sang the songs and some of the kids left with a smile on their faces. I was satisfied for once. I hope and pray next Sunday will be even better with some new, more upbeat songs, but today was one worth remembering.
