Calling patients may not seem so easy.

Today, I was busy, besides the fact that I did not wipe down chairs since it was just Cara and me at the desk. I scanned quite a bit of paperwork and started my day. We would take turns picking up phone calls because who knows what kind of patient will be on the line, right? Obviously, I was nervous because when it's just the two high schoolers on the desk, we might've had to call an insurance company or make payments, things I don't really know how to do. Thankfully, none of those happened and did the normal tasks, like scanning papers and occasionally picking up calls.

Confirming patients on the phone was a completely different story. I picked up the phone and used a sheet with a script so I could call easier. When I thought I could call without the cheat sheet, everything went downhill. I said, "Hi this is Attleboro Dental calling to confirm your order... i mean appointment... sorry." After this mess-up I was determined to not make another mistake. "Heyy, I'm calling to confirm your APPOINTMENT on January... sorry June 26th..." My sister was already dying laughing and honestly, I laughed with her. Though it was embarrassing it was definitely something I would never forget. I confirmed all the patients except one, who lost her phone I think. It sure was a busy and memorable day!
