Nature vibes

Today, I went to Borderland State Park, a state park near my house. I arrived with my siblings and Dad to Leach Pond, a body of still water filled with seaweed, plants. and water lilies. Aiming to catch fish, I persisted in throwing a line from my fishing rod, but to no avail. The rain came pouring down on my head as I kept waiting to catch a fish. I saw a black one near the shore, but when I threw down my line, the fish swam away. That was the last time I saw a fish in that pond. I gave up after 3 hours and went home for lunch. Reenergized and excited, I spent the last 3 hours of the trip hiking down the trails. My blue sneakers sank in the water-logged soil as I admired the beauty of nature. Trees reached heights of 20 feet and the breeze that brushed by my face felt amazing. When I visited Upper Leach Pond, I was disappointed. This pond had 20 fish swimming right in the clear water! I regretted not bringing a fishing rod after lunch, but I knew not everything goes how you plan. The weather got sunnier and walking down the trails was mildly difficult. I loved seeing the calm view of a pond reflecting the image of trees behind it. I learned to keep persisting even when results don't show (from fishing of course). I admired God's creation- the trees, flowers, scenery, and ponds. God truly is awesome in HIs marvelous way of creating nature for us to see. My favorite part of the whole trip, however, was taking beautiful pictures with my phone. I snap photos of the ponds, the trees, and the trails. I made sure I captured this memory because I probably won't see this again.
