Denture Cleaning Blog #1

A moment of realization today.

Today I continued my denture cleaning project after taking two weeks off. expecting, just a normal day, I casually walked into people's rooms and looked for those who need their dentures to be cleaned. However, there were no patients to be seen; they were all doing activities in a separate room or with a visitor. I asked the nurse where all of them went and she said they were in the activity room except one. She said that one passed away. My heart was torn when I heard the news. I knew I can't save lives or being back people to life, but I knew I could do my best to prevent such from happening. This occurrence was a reality check for me, and I realized that I can play a role in preventing serious diseases that could cause death. I learned to empathize with them and leave a lasting impression on them before they leave the world.
