College Tours: Dartmouth College
My blog on my college tour at Dartmouth College!

I toured Dartmouth today, and here are my thoughts! The drive was pretty long (nearing 2 and a half hours), but we made it on time. When I first left the parking lot, I only saw the back of campus so I was thrown off a bit because I thought Dartmouth was known for its beautiful campus. But after a 10 min walk to the McNutt Hall, I saw what I expected. The campus was gorgeous. There was an orientation where a really engaging senior officer talked about what makes Dartmouth unique and what the tour would be like. She talked about the semi-confusing D-Plan (she did a really good job in explaining it) and the study abroad programs that Dartmouth prides itself in. I liked how she noted that you approach the biology course by doing hands-on activities with the nature that surrounds the college. Then I went outside and the weather was crazy good and the campus even better! The campus seemed really wide (maybe cuz I was used to Brown) but just the main green and wide view was stunning. Two buildings I really loved was the Thayer School of Engineering building and the Rauner Library. The first had super cool and aesthetic ceiling designs with tons of sunlight passing through and the latter had a central "closet" (for the lack of words) of just straight books. I know, I don't like books, but just the library looked like an ideal study room. Not gonna lie, the walk around campus kinda was tiring but in the end it was worth it. The tour actually let us go into certain buildings, which was a plus. One thing I noticed though was that a TON of students wore the iconic dark green "Dartmouth" crewneck, and it was sick seeing students repping their school of their dreams. The pretty campus and unique buildings really piqued my interest!
I do think this is a great school and the tour was truly a once in a lifetime experience! As always below are some pictures!
